Dear Classroom Central...

Classroom Central gives us SO much! From pencils, glue, paper, markers, notebooks, book bags, binders...... Here are some of our favorite treasured items from Classroom Central visits of the past...

These rockin' glasses are from Classroom Central. They are our prized 'word keeper' glasses!!

This is THE MAD MINUTE TROPHY! This bad boy sits on the daily winner for our math mad minute quiz.

mrs. preville i like the things you got from Classroom Central. Like the cool books and the cool glasses we use them. When we learn we use the things you got like the highlighters, pencils, secret santa stuff, and glue sticks. Thank you for the stuff you gave us to use. we love them.

Classroom Central,

Thank you for giving us supplies. We use a trophy that you gave us for the top math minute student (to help us learn our multiplication facts). I love the trophy!

life and times of P4

Back to school time is always busy. This year is no exception. Here are some snapshots of the first three weeks of P4.

JaQuin makes a great lookout on the playground.

Jose has already found his comfortable reading spot in our room,

Chantel is a woman after my own heart. Taking a moment to relax with a story by Mo Willems. I don't think I will ever get too old for ANY of his books.

This year I have already taught my students so much about labels and organization. Cristina's desk is organized just perfectly. :-)

I have also taught my students about one of my favorite things ever ---my label maker. This is a close up of Cristina's desk labels. I'm pretty sure some of my students have come to love the label maker too.

Everything at Cristina's desk is labeled AND kept in the correct place!

Even our community table buckets are labeled. This bucket was looking pretty good - so I had to take a picture. I hope it says like this ALL year! :-)

Another successful day in 4th grade!

This week we have focused on what it looks like to be an ENGAGED LEARNER.

Engaged learners are an active part of their life as a student - they ask questions when they don't understand, work together on classroom tasks & focus on their learning. Look how P4 students described engaged learners.

2011-2012 supply list for 4th grade students

2 black and white composition notebooks (wide ruled)
1 one-inch HEAVY DUTY black binder (with a clear view front)
3 plastic, three prong, two pocket folders (They must be solid colors. For example: yellow, red, green, blue & orange. Please NO folders with pictures!)
2 one subject, wide ruled, spiral notebooks
4 boxes of pencils
4 glue sticks
2 packs of WIDE RULED notebook paper (no college ruled please!)
2 boxes of colored pencils
4 packs of sticky notes (assorted sizes)
1 box of markers
2 boxes of Ziploc baggies (snack, sandwich, quart or gallon size)
